ORLANDO, Fla. (July 5, 2022)
– The Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) has officially wrapped up the world’s largest volleyball tournament. From June 15 – July 1, more than 70,000 athletes and coaches, representing 48 states, two U.S. territories, and four international countries (Canada, Colombia, Dominican Republic, and Peru), traveled to  the Orange County Convention Center (OCCC) for the 49th AAU Girls’ Junior National Volleyball Championships and 2022 AAU Boys’ Junior National Volleyball Championships.

Starting on June 28, it was time for the boys to take the court and play under the bright lights. Athletes traveled to sunny Orlando, Florida with a goal in mind; to become an AAU National Champion. Teams from 12u up to the 18u divisions competed and left everything they had on the court. When all was said and done, 18 teams got to go home with gold.
