RECAP: AAU Boys’ Basketball Spring Classic & AAU Girls’ Basketball Spring Fling

AAU Boys’ Basketball Spring Classic and AAU Girls’ Basketball Spring Fling hosted approximately 1,650 athletes, 99 boys’ teams and 40 girls’ teams and crowned 20 tournament champions, reaching from 5th/6th grade to High School level.

ORLANDO, Fla. - AAU basketball was back on the hardwood this past weekend at the Orange County Convention Center (OCCC) for the AAU Boys’ Basketball Spring Classic and AAU Girls’ Basketball Spring Fling. The three-day tournament hosted approximately 1,650 athletes, 99 boys’ teams and 40 girls’ teams.
 
The AAU Girls Basketball Spring Fling crowned six tournament champions in the AAU Girls’ Basketball Spring Fling, reaching from Girls 5th/6th grade to Girls High School level.
 
In the Girls 5th Grade/6th Grade D3 division, the Space Coast Lightning won the gold medal over FLY Florida, 58-46.
 
GT Queens 2026 took the 6th Grade D1/7th Grade D2 division after holding off the Miami Suns 2026 in a tough 46-43 championship win.
 
Miami Impact 7 went undefeated in pool play before taking 7th Grade D1/8thGrade D2 title, defeating the Nona Basketball Academy - 8th Girls, 56-37.
 
For the 8th Grade D1/9th Grade D2 division, Nona Basketball Academy 9th Black took the title over GT Queens 2024, 46-38.
 
Miami Impact 8 led a neck and neck game against the Jupiter Jaguars Girls 10th in the 10th D2-D3 division. Impact clenched the gold medal, 42-38.
 
For the High School division, Candace Parkers Hoop Dreams Elite 2023 dominated bracket play, posting 25 or more points against the competition. They scooped up the tournament title with a 74-41 win over Space Coast Fury 2022.  
 
AAU Boys’ Basketball honored 14 gold medal teams in the AAU Boys’ Basketball Spring Classic. Divisions ranged from 10U/4th grade to 20U.
 
For the Boys’ 10U/4th Grade division, the Florida Future started with a rough 1-1 in pool play, but the Future regathered in the bracket coming out on top over the undefeated Kissimmee Allstars, 26-20.
 
Georgia Ignites 2028 5th grade claimed the 11U/5th Grade D3 division title after battling it out with the Kissimmee Allstar Black, 46-39.
 
In the 5th Grade division, The Skills Center 5th bested their competitors, the Kissimmee Allstars, 65-54.
 
P2 Ballers 2027 6th Good took a 15-point win over the 12U D2-D3 competition, winning the championship over Space Coast Lightning 12U, 40-25.
 
For the 6th Grade division, The Skills Center 6th Orange clenched the title with a 44-30 win over the Kissimmee Allstars.
 
FL- Jacksonville Magic dominated the 13U bracket, claiming double digit wins over the competition. They took the gold after an outstanding 107-34 win over Chobee Nation.  
 
Nona Basketball Academy 7th took a 2-0 start in pool play before taking the 7th Grade D2-D3 division with a 64-56 win over Remix 2026.
 
Jacksonville Magic 2026 claimed the gold medal for the 7th Grade D1/14U D2-D3 division, taking a 58-38 win over Manhasset All Stars 14U Everson.
 
For the 8th Grade division, Georgia Ignites 2025 (8th) took a 67-56 win over Nona Basketball Academy - 8th Black.
 
FG - Team Work clenched the gold medal for the 15U/9th Grade division with a win over Zabian Dowdell Select, 68-55.
 
STC Elite showed up to play in the 16U/10th Grade division, winning their pool and going on to the Championship. They won 79-60 over the South Florida Shockers.
 
In the 17U/11th Grade D1 division, Cobras Elite took a 65-28 win over the O.T.D. Elite.
 
The 2022 Select 11th won the 17U/11th Grade D2-D3 bracket, winning 51-44 over Elite Basketball Academy.
 
Pitirres Interamericana fought their way through the 20U division before taking the gold with a 56-49 win over RSBA Varsity Orange Javier.
