AAU Baseball Committee and Mark Wort teamed up to donate baseball equipment to the Virgin Islands.

ORLANDO, Fla. - AAU Baseball Committee and Markwort Sporting Goods teamed up to donate baseball equipment to the U.S. Virgin Islands. Some of the items that were donated included assorted Markwort ball gloves, C-Flaps®, Kenko First Steps Softball Tee-ball set, practice baseballs, Rawlings baseball pants, baseball caps, catcher's masks, rotating batting tee, Markwort ball bucket and a RBI ProSwing. In addition to all the great donated equipment, the Virgin Islands also received AAU Cares shirts to wear to at practice, games or just around the house.

The Virgin Island coaches were overwhelmed to receive these items for their teams. “Mere words alone cannot express the gratitude that we feel for the donation of the sporting equipment that the AAU bless us with,” said Senator Steven Payne of the Virgin Islands. “Parents, children and the league organizers were very grateful for the kind gesture of the AAU.”

Donations like these help baseball leagues around the world keep running. The spirit of “team” is to celebrate wins, but also to help build each other up.
