2018 AVCA Club Award Winners Announced - 13 AAU Members Honored

13 of the 15 coaches announced by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) in their 2018 Club Awards are proud members of the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU). The Club Awards program honors and recognizes deserving coaches and club directors in the youth volleyball community.

AAU members include Brennan Dean (WAVE Volleyball Club, Director of the Year); Jason Hames (K2 Volleyball, 18s Coach of the Year); Danny Tullis (Wattle Daub Nation, 17s Coach of the Year); Scott Shelley (A5 Volleyball Club, 16s Coach of the Year); Juliana Evens (WAVE Volleyball Club, 13s Coach of the Year); Jenna Hinton (Triange Volleyball Club, 12s Coach of the Year); Kevin Wong (Spike and Serve Volleyball Club, Boys Coach of the Year); and Barbra Fontana (Elite Beach Volleyball, Beach Coach of the Year). 

Other Director of the Year Finalists included all AAU Members:

Emily Hawthorne, The Academy Volleyball Club
Jerry Linch, Absolute Volleyball Club
Mike Lingenfelter, Asics Munciana 
Scott Mebruer, High Performance - STL

The honorees will be recognized at the Jostens Coaches Honors Luncheon at the AVCA Convention in Minneapolis, MN.
