AAU Taekwondo National Championships Recap

AAU Taekwondo National Championships Recap

FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla (July 11, 2017) - This past week, July 3-8, the AAU Taekwondo National Championships were held at the Broward County Convention Center in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.

This event welcomed over 2,100 athletes and over 500 coaches from across the country.

There were three major events Olympic Sparring, Points Sparring and Forms.

Again this year the AAU Taekwondo National Championships offered a Special Needs Division to give the opportunity for all those who wish to compete.

As a part of the AAU Cares initiative, the AAU Taekwondo National Chair Mike Friello made a generous donation of $5,000 to Feeding South Florida. This organization is a Feeding America foodbank dedicated to providing meals to the South Florida area. For every $1 donated, Feeding South Florida is able to provide six meals to those in need.

2017 AAU Taekwondo National Championship results:

Day 1, Day 2, Day 3, Day 4 and Day 5
