2013 AAU X-Country National Championships are HERE

The 2013 AAU Cross Country National Championship is this weekend! On December 7th, AAU members will gather in Fort Gordon, GA to participate in this tournament. There will be seven different age groups participating in the tournament, ranging from the 6U division all the way up to the 17-18 division.

The event will kick off with the National Anthem at 8:50am and then the races will begin at 9am! Events will start every half hour with the last event, the 6U Boys, starting at 2:15pm. After the final race has concluded, an awards ceremony will be held for the athletes at 4pm in the Columbia County Amphitheater. Awards for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams and 1st-8th place individual athletes will be presented at this time. AAU President Henry Forrest and Olympic Bronze medalist Manteo Mitchell will be speaking and presenting the awards to the athletes so you won’t want to miss it! The rest of the individual athletes that placed in the top 25 will receive their awards at the end of the finish line at the conclusion of each race.

Every AAU member that participates will receive an official AAU National Championship bag and tee shirt at packet pick up on December 6th.

Longtime AAU staff member passes

ORLANDO, Fla (Jan 8, 2017) - It is with great sadness and very heavy hearts to share that our colleague and friend, Janice "Jan" Lyon, passed away on December 23, 2017 while surrounded by her family in Indiana. Jan worked for the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) as a national staff member for more than 35 years in many different capacities.
