PREVIEW: 2016 AAU Gymnastics Age Group National Championship

The 2016 AAU Gymnastics Age Group National Championship will be held from June 29th to July 2nd at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. This year, the event is expecting to see more than 1,500 athletes from twenty-five (25) AAU Districts (states) compete for a chance at a gold medal. 

OPENING CEREMONY: The opening ceremony will be held on Friday, July 1st at 7:00 PM in Jostens Center at ESPN Wide World of Sports. Kate Foster, a Level 7 Gymnast battling
Acute Myeloid Leukemia will be speaking about her journey and love for the sport.  

KIDS HELPING KIDS: We are partnering with Kids Helping Kids, a non-profit organization that encourages teens to help each other when faced with a life altering injury or illness. Donations will be accepted throughout the entire event on the 2nd floor of Josten's and 100% of the proceeds will go to children's organizations. Those who donate will be encouraged to sign a banner to show their support for the cause and will also receive a lollipop and pin to thank them for their generosity.

Further, next year’s event will be held in Kingsport, Tennessee at the Meadow View Marriott Resort from June 21 - 25, 2017.
