Table Tennis Joel Ferrell 2013 Award Winners
Last July 31st, during the 2013 AAU Junior Olympic Games, held in Detroit, the “Motor City”, Table Tennis awarded the prestigious Joel Ferrell Award for Outstanding Performance to Mendy Wang.
Mendy, a native of Plainsboro, NJ and a 9th grade student at High School South finished first place in the Division B Junior Nationals; the Girls Under 16 Singles at the Junior Olympics; and Girls Team Under 18 Junior Olympics. Wang finished second place in the Girls Double Under 18 at the Junior Olympics.
The Joel Ferrell Award is presented to an athlete with outstanding accomplishments and sportsmanship. The AAU is proud, and welcomes the addition of Wendy Wang to the prestigious list of athletes who have received this honor in the past.
