Todd Maugans, MD, Chief of Neurosurgery, joined Nemours Children’s Hospital (NCH) from Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, where he served as an academic pediatric neurosurgeon and faculty member at the University of Cincinnati. Dr. Maugans was drawn to NCH in part because of our dedication to holistic, child- and family-centered medicine as a key to healing – a philosophy he embraced early in his career as a family practice physician. Dr. Maugans earned his medical degree at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and obtained residency training at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical, New Hampshire, University of Virginia, and University of Vermont. He received clinical fellowship training in pediatric neurosurgery at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. His clinical and research areas of expertise include concussion and surgical procedures for craniosynostosis.
